Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural systems for a diverse range of commercial and residential projects. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients throughout all phases of a project, from initial design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Prepare structural plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Perform structural analysis and ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
• Evaluate existing structures for renovations, additions, and rehabilitation projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop practical and efficient design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support construction activities.
• Respond to contractor requests for information (RFIs), review shop drawings, and provide construction-phase engineering support.
• Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing responsive and professional engineering services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience designing commercial and residential structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards, and construction practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both new construction and existing building evaluations.
• Familiarity with construction administration and field observation.
• Experience preparing structural calculations and construction documents.
• Knowledge of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry design.
