Event Logistics Staff

Summary

The ideal candidate in addition to performance of the essential functions, may be required to perform a combination of the following other duties, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the requirements of the resort.

• Completes assigned side work to include cleaning meeting space and storage space.
• Attends all mandatory meetings.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Set up tables and chairs to meet the function specifications.
• Properly clean meeting space at beginning, during, and end of events, including not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping, scrubbing.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by The Boca Raton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Internal Relationships

Reports to Event Logistics Manager and/or Event Logistics Supervisor

External Relationships

Has regular contact with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of meeting room set up, service standards, guest relations and luxury resort etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate linen and table settings.
• Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Prior setup experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
