Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) specialist position in Santa Rosa, California. Job Details:

• Location: Santa Rosa, California
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 or 9:00, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, BLS certification, 0-2 years of OR experience, trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho surgical experience, Epic charting system proficiency, at least 1 year of recent relevant experience, ability to float between units as needed, willingness to work two major holidays, and references covering one year of recent clinical work
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex surgical procedures, trauma level I or II experience, and additional certifications or specialized skills related to trauma or vascular surgery
• Scheduling Details: 12-hour shifts, variable start times (7:00 or 9:00), minimum 48 hours weekly, on-call responsibilities distributed every 6 weeks, coverage of night shifts as needed, and potential floating between hospital units or affiliate facilities
• Additional Information: The role involves covering a variety of complex surgical cases, including trauma, ortho, neuro, vascular, and plastic surgeries. Night shifts are staffed with 1 RN and 1 surgical tech or 2 RNs. The assignment includes working with specialized equipment such as Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and modules requiring completion in advance. The traveler must be flexible to work two major holidays and must adhere to the local radius rule within 50 miles of the facility.
