About the Position

Medix has partnered with a premier healthcare facility to find a dedicated Mammo Tech for a high-impact travel assignment in Austin. As a trusted healthcare clinician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering compassionate patient care. In this role, you will perform outpatient screening mammography procedures, practice ALARA radiation safety standards, and maintain strict quality assurance controls required by ACR and state regulatory bodies. Schedule Details Work Week: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends, no evenings) Shift Hours: 8 hours per shift (40 hours per week). Responsibilities • Perform screening mammographic procedures, applying appropriate patient care and recognizing essential patient conditions. • Maintain all quality assurance records and controls required by ACR, state regulations, and credentialing organizations. • Identify proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assure proper image identification. • Practice radiation safety by applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved AMA Council of Education program in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT-M and ARRT-R active certifications in good standing
• State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.)
• 1 year of outpatient screening Mammography experience (Preferred)
