Successful candidates will go beyond setting strategy to help define a new model for how public companies communicate. This person will partner across the company—finance, investor relations, legal, brand, product and design—to mine and tell stories that drive conversation across audiences, formats and channels.This role calls for range. You should be as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are on X/Twitter. You're capable of crafting campaigns around quarterly earnings and cultural moments. You can quickly learn and translate complex topics for a broader audience without dumbing it down. You embrace ambiguity, are collaborative by default, and are energized by the opportunity to build something new.This is a full time role that can be held from our San Francisco or New York hub.What You'll Do At Figma:Help define and drive Figma's corporate storytelling strategy end-to-end, from narrative development to execution across channelsMove beyond traditional PR to create integrated campaigns that cut through across media, owned platforms and executive communicationsPartner with cross-functional teams to translate business momentum into clear, compelling stories and campaignsWork closely with executives to shape narratives that resonate with business and financial audiences, from briefings to thought leadershipIdentify and develop breakthrough story angles that position Figma at the center of key industry, market and cultural conversationsStay close to the news cycle and broader zeitgeist while proactively creating opportunities that put Figma ahead of itContinue to grow your scope and influence as the company scalesWe'd Love To Hear From You If You Have:7+ years of experience in in-house communicationsA track record of building and scaling communications programs from the ground upStrong business and cultural fluency, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, engaging narratives and pitchesExperience operating in fast-paced environments where direction isn't always defined—and comfort creating itDemonstrated experience crafting a point of view on storytelling that goes beyond conventional PR approachesWhile Not Required, It's An Added Plus If You Also Have:An understanding of product design, software development and/or cloud-native applications.Experience navigating and explaining business concepts and issues with fluidity.At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. Figma provides paid sick leave, holidays, and other leave benefits in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the requirements of the Washington Minimum Wage Act and related regulations. Exempt employees are eligible for employer?provided paid flexible PTO in addition to flexible paid sick leave. PTO is subject to manager approval. Additional benefits may include company recharge days, cell phone and home internet reimbursements, and a number of lifestyle spending accounts. Figma also offers sales incentive compensation for most sales roles and an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles.
