(NDS) develops, manufactures, and supports Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLMs), energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aerospace structures.JOB OVERVIEW: The Proposals Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all proposal activities, including directing proposal and cost estimating personnel, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, developing proposal schedule and compliance matrix, monitoring the progress of the proposal, pricing, and coordination of proposal activities with Contracts, Program Management and Pricing.How you will be rewarded as our Proposals Manager:Competitive compensationMonday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days (off on Fridays)Generous paid time off and Holiday PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401(K), employee assistance programs, health savings accountKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the proposal development process from beginning to end, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and compliant submissions to customer RFP's.Review and analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria, and proposal response instructions. Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to gather relevant information and input for proposals.Create proposal outlines and schedules and manage the proposal development timeline to meet submission deadlines.Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with customer requirements.Assist the Sales and Marketing Team in managing and directing all proposal efforts.Coordinate and participate in Bid/No-Bid decisions.Respond/coordinate all RFI, Sources Sought, ROM and other customer inquiries.Participate in the development and review of proposal strategies and continuous improvement of the proposal process.Conduct regular proposal progress status meetings and maintain the proposal schedule.Direct writing/editing/rewriting efforts, as needed.Coordinate pricing efforts.Conduct final quality assurance checks on proposals to ensure compliance with all requirements and submission guidelines.Respond/coordinate customer proposal and pricing inquiries such as cost justifications and clarifications.Develop and report on proposal metrics.Establish and manage the proposal budgets.Weekly reporting on proposal status.This is a management position with 3 direct reports.Other duties as assigned.Follow standard practices and safety procedures.Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.COOPERATION This role requires collaboration across internal teams and with external stakeholders.LEVEL OF DECISION MAKING This position requires the ability to make daily autonomous decisions.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Required:This role requires 8 or more years of direct working experience with proposals and pricing to the DoD, US Government, and international customers.College degree preferred.Contracts, contract management, proposal management or experience with FAR's is desired.Pricing and familiarity with DoD requirements (Rates, ODC, etc.) is desired.Excellent experience of Word and Excel is required.Excellent writing and proofreading skills are required.Experience with ProPricer is desired.Must be able to provide proof of US Persons and ability to clear ATF background check.COMPETENCIES:Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong attention to detailStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Ability to work in fast-paced environments.Leadership or teamwork abilities.WORKING CONDITIONS:Full-time on-site position.This position may require travel on an as-needed basis.This position may require working in diverse settings and conditions.**Note**: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.Our values are the fundamental principles guiding the way we do business and interact with stakeholders.DEDICATION: We are enthusiastic and creative, always searching for the best solutions.
