Process Operator (A-Shift)

About the Zebulon Site GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America. The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest. Key Responsibilities Operate, replenish consumable supplies, and clean equipment in accordance with cGMPs, batch documentation, SOPs, ZSPs, and JSAs. Maintain inspection readiness of the area with minimal supervision. Monitor equipment for excessive rejects or stoppages and use performance data to address problems. Support performance management entry and conduct problem‑solving steps 1‑3. Maintain OSW and 5S standards and promote safety, quality, waste, and performance objectives. Identify and recommend process improvements or alternative operating methods to increase efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment production stoppages. Utilize required systems and applications (e.g., DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, SAP basic transactions). Collaborate with associates, assistants, and technicians to carry out daily responsibilities and troubleshoot technical issues. Explain the technological theory of operation and demonstrate equipment setup changeovers and start‑up activities. Certify on multiple technologies and flows as required by the business. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1+ years of pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience. Ability to handle up to 40 lbs of materials. Ability to work up to 12.5 hours in one shift when required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work accurately with figures and information. Ability to use and analyze data effectively. Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn the operation of gauges, instrumentation, and production equipment. Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Competent in data entry, computers, and HMIs. Knowledge of applications such as DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, and SAP basic transactions. Skills Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel. Traits Visual inspection and attention to detail. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed documentation. Follow both written and verbal instruction. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently. Competent in data entry and use of computers and HMIs. Physical Job Requirements Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, balance, crawl, crouch, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, feel, talk, hear, lift, and perform tasks as defined by the role. Ability to work overtime as needed. Must be able to wear gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing as required. Ability to learn rapidly to meet training module expectations. Must be able to operate in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and drug compounds. Must be able to work at a high energy, fast‑paced environment.
