InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative II to support a busy outpatient diagnostic imaging department. If you have a strong background in patient registration, scheduling, customer service, and healthcare administration, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative healthcare team making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities
As a Patient Services Representative II, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and clinical staff while supporting the daily operations of a high-volume Radiology department.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer high-volume inbound calls and assist patients with scheduling diagnostic imaging appointments
- Register and check in patients while verifying demographic, insurance, and medical information
- Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and required authorizations
- Schedule imaging exams and manage scheduling work queues
- Conduct proactive outreach to patients regarding pending appointments and referrals
- Communicate with providers and clinical staff regarding scheduling and patient needs
- Update and maintain accurate patient records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Collect applicable patient payments and explain financial responsibilities
- Resolve routine scheduling and registration issues using established procedures
- Prioritize urgent requests while maintaining excellent customer service
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all organizational policies
- Assist with reducing scheduling backlogs and improving referral-to-exam turnaround times
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of recent healthcare or patient services experience
- Experience with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in processes
- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of insurance verification, patient billing, referrals, and authorization processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Commitment to protecting patient privacy and maintaining HIPAA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting outpatient radiology or diagnostic imaging services
- Experience scheduling diagnostic imaging exams
- Familiarity with referral management and imaging work queues
- Experience performing proactive patient outreach
- Strong provider communication and customer service skills
- Ability to independently resolve routine scheduling and registration issues
