Stacker Operator - 2nd Shift

This role operates at the end of a production line in an outdoor construction and lumber environment, stacking finished trusses and other products into organized order piles while using a remote-controlled hydraulic lift. The position suits someone who enjoys physically active work, pays close attention to detail, and is interested in building a career in construction or lumber production.

Responsibilities

• Work at the end of the production line to receive finished trusses and other products as they come off the line.
• Stack finished trusses and other orders into clearly organized and accurate order piles according to production requirements.
• Operate a remote-controlled hydraulic lift and related hydraulic equipment to move, clamp, lift, and position materials safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the flow of materials on the production line and adjust stacking processes to maintain smooth and continuous operations.
• Handle general labor tasks related to production and materials handling, including moving, sorting, and organizing products.
• Follow established procedures for palletizing and stacking to ensure product stability, safety, and quality.
• Inspect materials visually to verify order accuracy and identify obvious defects or issues before stacking.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area at the end of the production line and surrounding yard.
• Communicate clearly with production and line operators to coordinate timing, order priorities, and any issues that arise.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices when operating hydraulic and other machinery in an outdoor environment.
• Support overall production goals by working efficiently, staying attentive to details, and assisting team members as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in end-of-line production operations.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic clamp and lift operation, including use of remote controls.
• Experience in production or general labor in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform physically active work, including lifting, stacking, and moving materials throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stacking and order fulfillment.
• Comfort working in a construction or lumber environment and desire to build a career in this field.
• Ability to operate and monitor production line equipment and machinery safely.
• Basic materials handling skills, including palletizing, order selecting, and organizing products.
• Reliability in working assigned second-shift hours with overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Interest in getting into construction or lumber-related work and growing within the industry.
• Previous experience with machine operation, line operation, or general production line work.
• Experience in construction, materials handling, or order selecting environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production setting.
• Willingness to learn additional equipment and processes as production needs evolve.

Work Environment

This position operates on a second shift schedule, typically from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime available as needed. You will work outdoors year-round at the end of the production line in a construction and lumber environment, exposed to varying weather conditions. The role involves regular use of remote-controlled hydraulic lifts and other hydraulic equipment, as well as general production line and machine operation. The setting is physically demanding and fast-paced, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and efficient materials handling in an outdoor industrial yard.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oak Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
