Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for ICU patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, administer medications, and coordinate timely interventions.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; delegate responsibilities and ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families; participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Provide education and information to patients and families; maintain thorough, accurate documentation.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control practices and established hospital policies.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (state of practice) is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• BSN degree preferred; not mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/acute care experience.
• EPIC and Cerner experience preferred.
• Ability to work the night shift in a fast-paced ICU setting.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care in a multidisciplinary environment.
