Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year in the Grand Blanc area. This school-based paraprofessional role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference working one-on-one with students across all grade levels. You may be placed in settings ranging from mild/moderate general education classrooms to specialized resource rooms and self-contained classes serving students with cognitive or emotional impairments.
Success in this assignment requires flexibility in caseload and environment, as you could be assisting students with a wide spectrum of needs—including personal care duties similar to a health aide, such as toileting and diapering for those with significant cognitive impairments. Hours are full-time at 37.5 per week; daily schedules may vary slightly by assigned location, generally between 7:15am–3:15pm or 8:15am–4:15pm.
What we’re seeking:
- At least 60 semester hours of college credit (must provide official university transcripts prior to consideration)
- OR an associate degree or higher
- OR an ETS Parapro Assessment score of 460 or above
- OR College Board SAT scores: at least 480 in Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and 530 in Math
- Experience or interest in supporting students with a range of needs, including severe, resource, and general education classrooms
- Willingness to perform personal care and support duties as needed throughout the school day
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom and caseload assignments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
