Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 academic year! This position offers the chance to make a difference in classrooms serving grades K-12, with an immediate start and assignments continuing through June 11. Located in the vibrant Flint area, the assignment may extend across several schools near Grand Blanc.

Your responsibilities may include individualized support for students in a variety of learning environments—ranging from resource or self-contained classrooms for students with cognitive or emotional impairments, to general education settings. Flexibility is key, as you could be placed 1:1 with students who benefit from additional assistance throughout their school day. This may involve duties similar to a health aide, such as supporting personal care needs (including diapering and toileting) for students with cognitive challenges.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• At least 60 semester hours of college credit (official transcript required before being presented to the district)
• OR Associate degree or higher
• OR Passing score on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment (minimum 460)
• OR Qualifying SAT scores (at least 480 in Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and 530 in Math)
• Experience or comfort working with students with varying support needs is highly valued
• Willingness to work flexible hours (full-time, 37.5 hours weekly; typical shifts are 7:15am–3:15pm or 8:15am–4:15pm based on building assignment)
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability are essential
