Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager is an accomplished operations and business development professional with experience leading teams and improving business performance, a strong background in transportation, waste, recycling, logistics, or industrial services, and exceptional relationship-building skills. Position Overview A well-established Maui-based company in the waste, recycling, and environmental services industry is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead business growth, operational excellence, and long-term strategic initiatives. This highly visible leadership role works closely with senior leadership and provides broad exposure to all aspects of the business, including operations, customer relationships, team leadership, financial performance, and growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working closely with frontline teams while helping drive business performance and organizational growth. Responsibilities Partner with leadership to support day-to-day business operations and long-term strategic goals. Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue growth and business expansion. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and community stakeholders. Collaborate with operations teams to improve efficiency, service delivery, and overall performance. Monitor key performance indicators, financial results, and operational metrics. Assist with budgeting, planning, and resource allocation efforts. Lead, mentor, and support employees while helping foster a positive, accountable culture. Participate in problem solving, process improvement, and organizational initiatives across multiple departments. Experience working in operational, industrial, transportation, environmental services, logistics, construction, distribution, or related industries is highly desirable.
