Step into a rewarding opportunity providing vital occupational therapy support to students for the full school year. This contract position offers the chance to work in the Oroville area, with the possibility of reaching nearby communities. You'll serve across multiple school sites, ensuring every student receives tailored care to promote their academic and developmental success.
As part of this role, you will collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans. Engage in a dynamic, school-based setting where your expertise will make a meaningful impact—whether in treatment, progress monitoring, or parent and teacher consultations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Ability to travel between school sites (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to the educational and developmental needs of children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Evaluate and assess students to determine therapy needs and goals
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families
- Adapt to varying school environments and support multiple campuses as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary teams, and professional development
