Clinical Assistant - Otolaryngology

Mount Sinai - 5 East 98th Street - Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, healthcare providers, nursing homes, homecare providers, patient employers and insurance companies to ensure quality patient care.; Coordinate the daily activities of the physician team staff to ensure an effective and efficient daily operations flow.; Assist with patient care tasks during exams/procedures, including assisting patients, taking vital signs, relaying instructions, and handling calls.; Perform clerical duties such as processing medical records, lab/x-ray reports, and referrals; manage charts and forms in the EMR system.; Provide training and mentoring to Level I Medical Assistants and assist in scheduling and workflow planning to meet patient volumes.
