JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition OverviewWe are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Sample & Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow, storage, and tracking of test samples, fixtures, and lab equipment. This role supports the Test Lab and Validation teams by ensuring materials are properly received, stored, distributed, and shipped.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong coordination skills, and takes a proactive approach to maintain organized workspaces and efficient processes.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & CoordinationReceive incoming samples and shipments; scan, log, and distribute to appropriate locationsCoordinate movement of samples, fixtures, and equipment between labs, storage, and teardown areasRemove completed test samples and fixtures from labs and route for teardown or storageSupport lab and validation teams with material movement requestsStorage & OrganizationMaintain organized storage areas for samples, fixtures, and lab equipmentManage fixture inventory and ensure availability for lab useStore excess equipment in an orderly and accessible mannerProactively identify and improve storage organizationShipping & LogisticsCoordinate outbound shipments of unused equipment and fixtures to long-term storageProcess shipments of post-teardown samples to warehouse facilitiesEnsure proper documentation and tracking of all shipmentsGeneral SupportAssist with sample removal from fixtures when neededPerform additional duties as assigned to support lab operationsQualificationsMinimum 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logisticsForklift operation experience requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with multiple teamsPositive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environmentAbility to follow established processes and contribute to process improvementsExpectationsStandard schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch; some flexibility)Daily coordination with lab and validation teams regarding sample and fixture statusProactive ownership of storage organization and material flow efficiencyPRIMARY LOCATIONCentral Tech Unit Plymouth MISummaryLocation: Plymouth, MIType: Full time
