Job Description Job Title: Microbiology Technical Specialist Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: Permanent Job Role The ideal candidate will act as a technical expert, providing guidance to lab staff, clients, and sales/business development personnel. This role is suitable for those with prior lab experience seeking career growth outside of supervisory roles. The candidate should be able to work independently with limited supervision. Key Job Responsibilities Oversight of technical projects including method development, validation, verification, and transfer. Technical writing, including authoring protocols and summary reports. Troubleshooting methods and investigating non-conformances, deviations, OOS, and CAPAs. Ensuring compliance with CFR, FDA, DEA, and GMP regulatory requirements. Qualifications BS/MS degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline with 5+ years of experience in a cGMP regulated environment. Extensive knowledge of Microbiology principles with experience in at least three of the following areas: Technical Writing Sterility (Clean room or isolator) Bacterial Endotoxin Testing Microbial Limit Testing Antibiotic Assays Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing Cell Culture Ability to meet aggressive timelines.
