Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced NICU RN to provide specialized neonatal intensive care. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care to high-acuity newborns and preterm infants.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive neonatal care to critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and utilize specialized equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
• Implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatments and therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatments, and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience.
• Current BLS and NRP certification; S.T.A.B.L.E certification preferred.
• Proven ability to care for high-acuity neonates, including preterm infants from 22 weeks gestation.
• Skilled in managing advanced neonatal therapies such as mechanical ventilation, total body cooling, and IV infusions.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to respond effectively to neonatal emergencies.
