Medical Sales Representative

Are you a driven outside sales professional looking to break into the lucrative medical device and healthcare sales industry? We are seeking a highly motivated, competitive, and strategic Associate Territory Manager to manage and grow our hospital footprint across the Upstate New York market. About the Role This is an entry-level medical sales position designed to provide you with world-class product training, clinical mentorship, and direct mentorship from senior sales leadership. You will be responsible for building relationships with hospital staff, supporting clinical trials, and driving product utilization within an established regional territory. Responsibilities Hospital Account Development: Navigate complex hospital ecosystems to identify key stakeholders, including materials management, nursing staff, and department coordinators. Clinical Support & In-Servicing: Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and clinical "in-services" to educate nursing staff, technologists, and clinicians on the safe and effective use of our medical product line. Territory Management: Execute daily face-to-face field sales calls to uncover new business opportunities, combat competitive threats, and ensure consistent account penetration. Relationship Building: Establish long-term partnerships built on trust, responsiveness, and unparalleled product support with hospital personnel across Syracuse and Rochester networks. Logistics & Inventory Control: Manage regional product trials, coordinate evaluations, and track inventory/consignment logs to maximize product availability for your accounts. Qualifications Experience: 1 to 5 years of documented success in B2B or outside sales (e.g., payroll, copiers, uniform services, industrial supplies, logistics, or telecom sales). No prior medical sales experience is required—we hire for grit, process, and drive, and we will teach you the clinical side. The "Hunter" Mindset: A self-starter with a high motor, sharp closing skills, resilience to handling "no," and a passion for managing a territory autonomously. Professional Presence: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the emotional intelligence to pivot from speaking with administrative staff to presenting to clinicians. Organizational Skills: Elite time-management capabilities to successfully balance a high volume of sales calls and hospital rounds across a dual-city market. Compliance: Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass standard hospital credentialing requirements (including background checks and immunization screenings). Pay range and compensation package Employment Status: Full-Time, W2 Employee Earning Potential: $100,000 realistic first-year earnings (comprising a competitive base salary + uncapped commission/bonus structure).
