AP/AR Specialist

Southside Market & BBQ is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time AP/AR Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role will play a critical part in managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple business entities while supporting accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple entities Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuite Maintain strong documentation and audit trails for all payables and receivables Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Process and apply customer payments; generate and distribute invoices accurately and on time Monitor aged receivables, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing discrepancies Manage company credit card activity (Ramp experience a plus) Approve checks and electronic payments Communicate professionally with vendors and internal management Support month‑end close through AP/AR accruals, reconciliations, and aging report review Assist with continuous improvement of AP/AR processes and controls Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 3‑5+ years of experience in AP, AR, or similar accounting role Experience managing payables for multiple entities or complex organizations Beginner to intermediate Excel skills (filters, basic formulas, lookups, pivot tables) Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively Full Time Benefits Tuition Reimbursement Program – up to 100% paid college tuition 25% Employee Discount on Restaurant food purchases, 10% Discount on Market and Merchandise items Free Shift Meal each shift worked 401K – Southside Market & Barbeque will match the team member contributions 100% (dollar‑for‑dollar) on your Salary Deferrals up to 3% of compensation; plus, a 50% matching contribution on any additional Salary Deferrals above 3% up to 5% of compensation Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Referral Bonus Program Focused Leadership Development Program Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short‑term and Long‑term Disability 1 week Vacation pay/year – accrual starts on day1 1 week Sick pay/year – accrual starts on day1 All company holiday closures paid – Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter (if normally scheduled for the day it occurs on) Full-time set schedules #J-18808-Ljbffr
