This assignment spans two outpatient behavioral health facilities serving adult populations with serious mental illness. The Wilshire location connects urban residents to behavioral health services, crisis support, wellness programs, and social services, with a focus on accessibility for immigrant and limited-English-speaking populations. The San Fernando Valley Center addresses behavioral health needs across a suburban area by providing localized and community-based care to residents facing barriers such as transportation challenges, economic hardship, social isolation, and limited access to culturally competent mental health services.

Los Angeles and the surrounding region offer a range of outdoor and recreational activities suited to diverse interests, including beaches, hiking trails, biking paths, golf courses, and water sports such as kayaking, whale watching, and snorkeling. Cultural landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Griffith Observatory, and the Getty Center are accessible to clinicians on assignment, along with entertainment destinations including Universal Studios Hollywood and the Santa Monica Pier. The area also features dining, shopping, live music venues, and boat tours to nearby Catalina Island.

Clinicians in this role will provide part-time outpatient psychiatric services for adult patients presenting with serious mental illness (SMI) across two locations. At the Wilshire location, the schedule is Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 16 hours per week, serving a population with a slower recovery trajectory. At the San Fernando Valley (SFV) Center, the schedule is every Wednesday and every other Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 12 hours per week, with schedule flexibility available. On-site coverage is required for both locations; telehealth is not available for this assignment. The facility utilizes the EXYM EMR system; clinicians should be prepared to complete documentation within 24-48 hours. The facility is open to splitting coverage between two clinicians if a single clinician is unavailable to cover both programs.
