Job Summary

We are seeking a PC Technician for a contract/temporary opportunity in Chattanooga, TN supporting a government and public sector IT environment. This role is ideal for an early-career desktop support professional with strong hardware and software fundamentals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support hands-on PC deployment and equipment lifecycle activities.

The PC Technician will help configure, deliver, install, inventory, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and corporate standard software. This is a great opportunity to gain practical enterprise IT experience in a structured environment with supportive technical leadership, teamwork, and exposure to IT standards, documentation, asset management, and end-user support processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, deliver, install, and support PCs, laptops, peripherals, and corporate standard software.
- Assist with building, maintaining, and deploying standard computer images for desktops and laptops.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for computers, components, peripherals, and related equipment.
- Organize leased equipment returns and prepare outdated technology assets for donation, disposal, packing, or shipping.
- Provide backup end-user support under the guidance of PC support specialists.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and support activities in accordance with established standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Chattanooga, TN.
