Opportunity Details Provides and elicits direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population on the inpatient floors. Develops an assessment and therapeutic plan and renders ongoing patient care. Orders and interprets appropriate lab tests, radiology, diagnostic procedures, and writes prescriptions. Performs specific procedures, including but not necessarily limited to, drawing blood specimens for testing, blood counts, urinalysis, smears, etc. Initiates consultations and refers patient for special testing, if needed. Participates in daily rounds to observe and record pertinent progress of patients, updating and summarization of charts, writing orders and progress notes, and notifying the Physician in charge of the patient's condition/status, when appropriate. Participates in IDT rounds and conferences, lectures, and grand rounds for the service. Day and Night Shift availability, with alternate weekends. #J-18808-Ljbffr
