Job Description

As a Security Officer Medical Facility Fire Watch Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare-related medical examiner setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare medical examiner location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeter locations, parking areas, and restricted-access points, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
