Floor Manager

The Floor Manager will work closely with all members of the restaurant’s management team to ensure the restaurant is operating according to the standards set by the executive management. The Floor Manager is an integral and active member of the team. When you join the Cobi’s team, you can expect a warm and inclusive environment. You are expected to be hands-on from the beginning to the end of the guest experience – with guests, the Front of House team, and with the Culinary team. 

Floor Manager roles and expectations:

• Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis.
• Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.

• Investigate service issues, food quality, and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.

• Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.

• Keep compliance records required by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies including Food Handlers, RBS and Sexual Harassment Training for all staff

• Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performance.
• Responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing a high performing team, while driving their personal growth.

• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel

• Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

• Order and purchase equipment and supplies with approval of the General Manager

• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.

• Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control.

• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.

• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Skills & Requirements

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience (If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!)
• Required Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong background in service, food, and beverage.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and professional demeanor.
• Strong computer skills.
• Operational knowledge.
• Experience & Abilities:
• Preferred experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, high-profile restaurant setting.
• Proven ability to think quickly and adapt effectively in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
• Experience in Modern Asian cuisine a bonus.
