Branch Manager

Serve as the sales leader of the branch, accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships Drive growth in primary checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team Establish clear expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to improve capability, confidence, and productivity Partner with internal sales teams across Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending Educate customers about digital banking options and demonstrate available technology Analyze reporting and employee observations to identify strengths and opportunities Execute action plans to improve team performance and expand primary bank relationships and wallet share Balance growth, operational soundness, and talent decisions while managing risk and resolving issues Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program, including mentorship, job shadowing, and practical branch-operations training, before transitioning into a Branch Manager position Requirements 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education 2+ years of leadership experience Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and prior to or until placement in a specific branch SAFE registration required at the time of employment Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements Must comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans Independent judgment and critical thinking skills Ability to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments Ability to identify complex financial needs and build strong relationships Ability to lead teams in influencing, educating, and connecting customers to technology Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within the banking sector, while leading and developing high-performing teams.
