Assistant General Manager

The Center Club is hiring an Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations at one of Baltimore's premier private clubs. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader who is passionate about delivering elevated member experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll oversee clubhouse operations, support department leaders, maintain exceptional service standards, manage budgets, and help ensure every member and guest enjoys a first-class experience. What You’ll Do Support the General Manager in overseeing daily clubhouse operations Lead, coach, and mentor department managers and team members Deliver exceptional member and guest experiences through outstanding hospitality Help manage budgets, forecasting, payroll, and labor costs Monitor front-of-house food and beverage operations and service standards Oversee facilities, housekeeping, engineering, and security functions Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development programs Resolve member, guest, and employee concerns professionally and efficiently Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor regulations, and club policies Maintain operational procedures and written service standards Coordinate special club events and departmental meetings Step into the General Manager role when needed What We’re Looking For 6+ years of hospitality or private club management experience Strong food and beverage leadership experience High-volume banquet or event operations experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred Outstanding leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Strong financial, budgeting, and operational management abilities Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing hospitality teams Commitment to delivering exceptional member service Why You’ll Love Working Here Salary up to $110,000 Health-focused, member-first hospitality environment Opportunity to lead within a prestigious private club Professional growth and leadership development About the Workplace The Center Club is one of Baltimore's primary private clubs, known for delivering exceptional hospitality, refined dining, outstanding events, and personalized member service.
