Are you a PE-qualified Electrical Engineer looking to lead a department, shape how it operates, and progress toward partnership and part-ownership of the business?

This is a well-established, mid-sized consulting engineering practice working across a genuinely varied project base, spanning industrial, commercial, and developer-led schemes. In this role, you will lead electrical design across a broad portfolio of building projects, analyzing project scopes, establishing design parameters, and developing the systems before handing drawings to the drafting team. You will work across the entire electrical department, attend project meetings, review deliverables ahead of submission, and carry out occasional site surveys, integrating electrical systems with the wider building design.

This role is perfect for a senior Electrical Engineer with building services design experience, looking for department leadership, genuine autonomy, and a defined path to partnership.

The Role:

• Leading electrical design across a varied portfolio of building projects.
• Analyzing project scopes, setting design parameters, and directing the drafting team.
• Reviewing deliverables ahead of submission and integrating electrical systems with the wider building design.

The Person:

• Senior electrical design experience within building services or MEP
• PE license preferred, with support available if you are working toward it
• Able to lead designs and step up to run the department
