Technical Compliance Specialist

The Technical Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s regulatory, compliance, sustainability, and technical documentation initiatives. This role will manage compliance-related programs including product audits (UL, NSF), SDS documentation and requests, sustainability and product testing coordination, and other technical compliance activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. This position offers significant opportunity for growth and expanded responsibility over time. Essential Responsibilities Support regulatory and customer compliance requests. Track deadlines, requirements, project timelines. Assist with maintaining technical records and compliance documentation. Manage product testing and certification, field evaluations, and audits. Coordinate documentation activities. Identify and research new sustainability-related testing and initiatives. Maintain and organize Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation. Manage company SDS inbox and ensure a timely response to requests. Help interpret code requirements to develop and manage product specifications. Identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, technical, customer service and sales teams. Support additional regulatory, technical service, and compliance projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, environmental science, regulatory affairs, or related field preferred. Experience in regulatory compliance, technical services, quality, manufacturing, or chemical-related industries preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with SDS management, audits, compliance documentation, or testing coordination preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/document management systems. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach. Ability to lift and carry up to 10–20 pounds occasionally. Ability to read and interpret information on computer screens and printed materials. Ability to move throughout the office to attend meetings and interact with employees and visitors. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
