Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 35-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices with a patient ratio of 1:6–7
• Provide care for a diverse patient population including Med Surg, remote telemetry, orthopedic, post-op, CHF, and respiratory patients
• Administer medications using bedside scanning technology
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Float between Med Surg and Telemetry departments as needed based on unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
• Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required
• Recent Cerner EMR charting experience required
• Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, or respiratory patient populations
• Comfort working in a high-volume department (approximately 810 patients per month)
• Ability to adapt to a variable schedule based on unit needs
