Tenure-Track Information Technology Faculty

Summary Full‑time, tenure‑track Information Technology Faculty (member of the Computer and Information Science Department) will be responsible for providing quality instruction to students by ensuring student satisfaction through the classroom or laboratory setting according to the program objectives. This individual must have strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration, equipment handling, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback in lecture and laboratory. Teach material from approved curriculum (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.). Maintain daily attendance. Monitor students' performance and make suggestions to ensure they meet course standards, training requirements, and objectives. Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process. Assist with course/program evaluation. Advise assigned students in course selection, career preparation, etc. Teach system administration program courses: PC Repair, Server I and II, Operating Systems, Intro to Networking, Linux administration, etc. Teach introductory Cisco CCNA courses as needed (CCNA Required). Manage key roles (instructors, students, observers, etc.) in Brightspace LMS. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in information technology/related field or another field along with current relevant industry certifications (A+, Net+, Server+, MCSA, Azure, AWS, CCNA, etc.). Master's preferred. Experience 5+ years in the field with experience troubleshooting, maintaining and administering server operating systems in an enterprise environment. 2+ years developing technology curricula. 2+ years of instructional experience teaching a similar field. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at a community college. Documented effectiveness in classroom instruction. Experience in program curricula and course development. Experience using and integrating technology in class instruction. Experience developing and/or implementing instruction in online or hybrid formats. Hands‑on experience with hardware deployment; rack & stack; Linux and/or Windows Server provisioning; deployment of services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP; configuration of containerization; experience with deployment or use of cloud services from AWS, Azure, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr Northampton Community College
