Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Weekend Overnight Shifts

Pay: Up to $34.00 per hour ($30.00–$34.00 based on experience)
Schedule: Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday day, evening and/or overnight shifts
Commitment: One shift per week or every other week (could be full time, too!)

DINO Community Living is seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support for a young man with autism, intellectual disability, and a GJ tube in his own home and community.

This position is ideal for nurses seeking extra income, a flexible schedule, or an opportunity to maintain clinical skills without committing to full-time hours. Whether you are an experienced nurse or a recent graduate, we encourage you to apply.

A typical day shift includes community outings, such a volunteering or recreational activities (walks, hikes, visiting the mall, restaurants, movies, etc). Nurses scheduled for day shift should enjoy being active and providing support inside and outside the home with other direct care team members. 

During the overnight hours, the client is typically asleep but may wake up during the night. There is always an awake direct support professional also present.

Available Schedules:

Flexible shifts are available on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Typical shift options include:

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 7:00 AM - 7 PM

We ask for a commitment of:

• One or more shifts per week or every other wee

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services in a residential setting
• Monitor health status and perform routine nursing assessments
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Assist with GJ tube feedings and care (training provided)
• Complete required nursing documentation
• Collaborate with family members, direct support professionals, and healthcare providers
• Promote the individual's health, safety, independence, and quality of life

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Dependable and professional work ethic
• Reliable transportation
• Physical and TB upon hire or within 12 months of hire
• Clearances

Training Provided

Experience with GJ tubes is not required. DINO Community Living will provide training and support to help you become confident and competent in meeting the individual's nursing needs.

New graduates or those reentering the workforce are encouraged to apply.

Additional Opportunities

While this position requires only one shift per week or every other week, additional hours may be available from time to time to cover vacations, call-offs, and other scheduling needs if your availability allows. There is no obligation to accept additional shifts, but they may provide an opportunity for increased earnings and experience.
