Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Document all interactions and client progress through electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to enhance client participation and outcomes.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Uplifted Horizon, you will work with a diverse client population that includes adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Engaging with these individuals means addressing their unique backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences to create customized care plans that resonate with them.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• You must possess a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• Successful completion of national examinations, including the NCE or NCMHCE, is a prerequisite.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective client interactions and documentation.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature are critical as you build rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor, providing therapeutic services in a community health or clinical setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is highly advantageous.

• Experience in addressing substance use disorders and the interplay of physical health in mental health treatment.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of pharmacology related to mental health treatments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
