Position: Real Estate Secondary Market Administrator Location: St. Louis, MO Remote Status: On-Site Job Id: 695 # of Openings: 1 Job Title : Real Estate Secondary Market Administrator Reports To : Director, Secondary Market FLSA Status: Non-Exempt ** This is an onsite (St. Louis) position ** Job Overview The Real Estate Secondary Market Administrator supports secondary market and post-closing mortgage operations through loan delivery, servicing transfer, investor reporting, reconciliation, and settlement activities. This role maintains loan data and documentation, completes administrative processing, reviews information for accuracy and completeness, and works with internal and external partners to research and resolve discrepancies and exceptions. Records second mortgages with appropriate county offices and verifies completed recording documentation Maintains secondary market pipeline information and completes administrative processing related to loan sales, investor delivery, and post-closing settlement activities Prepares and reviews loan delivery files for completeness and investor requirements Enters and maintains loan boarding information, servicing system updates, and transaction data related to servicing transfers and investor reporting Reviews post-closing loan data and documentation for completeness and accuracy and follows up on identified discrepancies Maintains and tracks documentation and records related to secondary market reconciliation, balancing, reporting and settlement activities, identifying and following up on missing or incomplete items. Monitors investor reporting, secondary market activity, and HMDA data and researches identified discrepancies Works with internal and external partners to coordinate the research and resolution of exceptions, discrepancies, and funding issues Prepares and organizes documentation and information for internal, external, investor, and third-party audits and reviews Minimum Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in financial services with regular exposure to mortgage documentation and/or relevant transferable experience Preferred Qualifications Degree or specialized training in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mortgage Banking, or related field 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending, secondary market operations, post-closing, loan servicing, or related mortgage lending operations Experience working in a credit union, banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) A representation of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently. Knowledge of mortgage lending, secondary market, and post-closing practices Knowledge of applicable mortgage lending regulations, investor requirements, and documentation standards Strong attention to detail and accuracy Skilled in reviewing and interpreting detailed information and documentation Skilled in data entry, record maintenance, and working with detailed financial information Ability to identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues requiring follow-up Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting time-sensitive deadlines Ability to exercise sound judgment and determine when additional information or assistance is needed Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of this job’s functions.
