Practice Manager - Scottsdale

VETERINARY Practice Manager Employment Type: Full‑time Pay Range: $60,631 – $87,578 annually The posting will remain open for at least two weeks from the posted date.

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Your medical practice management skills will be used to drive business results, and your people leadership skills will play a key role as you develop associates and foster an engaging team environment. Working with a team of knowledgeable pet health‑care experts, you’ll keep clients and patients satisfied during their visits. By collaborating with the veterinary medical team, field leadership, corporate headquarters, and PetSmart® associates (if applicable), you’ll help optimize the growth of both businesses. REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSES

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Three years of related experience in health care, veterinary practice, or the service industry, including direct supervisory experience such as hiring and associate development.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BANFIELD PRACTICE MANAGER

The Practice Manager’s duties involve interviewing, hiring, and developing associates; evaluating hospital processes, progress, and productivity; and training associates on how to educate clients about our Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, and hospital services. Responsibilities also include: Educating associates on Banfield guidelines and practices. Budgeting and planning for the hospital. Supporting daily operations and staff. Scheduling associates, coordinating time off, and managing continuing education needs.
