About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and direct its financial operations in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit financial management best practices. The CFO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, management, and oversight of all financial activities. This includes leading the organization's financial planning, operations, performance, and fiscal management, as well as overseeing accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations. The successful candidate will also manage the annual budget process, evaluate the financial impact of long-range planning and new programs, and ensure compliance with government grant requirements. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree or MBA preferred, and a CPA or equivalent knowledge level in accounting. A minimum of 10-15 years' of related experience, with a mix of nonprofit and corporate experience, is required. The role demands a strategic, forward-thinking leader with strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to provide financial counsel on contracts and agreements. The CFO will also be responsible for leading and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring staff accountability. Core competencies include strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, leadership, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
