Leasing Specialist | Jamaica, Queens, NY | Onsite | Pay: $40–$50/hr | Temp-to-Perm About the role A well-established New York real estate organization is seeking a Leasing Specialist to support leasing operations across three affordable housing communities in Jamaica, Queens. This is a hands‑on opportunity supporting onsite property management teams with applications, compliance, move coordination, and tenant file management. What you'll actually do Process affordable housing applications and intake documentation accurately and on time Prepare landlord packets and voucher documentation for agency submissions Work directly with NYCHA, HPD, and Section 8 voucher programs Coordinate move-ins and move-outs across three properties Conduct apartment tours and support prospective resident inquiries Maintain accurate, audit-ready tenant files and compliance documentation Assist with affordable housing compliance including tax credit requirements Complete annual and interim recertifications Travel between three nearby Queens properties based on daily business needs Support onsite Property Managers and Assistant Community Managers as needed What we're looking for 2+ years of affordable housing leasing experience 2+ years of Yardi experience Hands‑on experience with NYCHA, HPD, Section 8 vouchers, landlord packets, and affordable housing compliance Experience completing annual and interim recertifications Tax credit property experience preferred Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple sites Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable traveling between three Queens properties as needed Environment A legacy New York real estate organization with over a century of experience developing and managing residential communities across the city.
