Senior Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization. This role will be responsible for month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger management while partnering with leadership to support key business decisions.

$85,000 - $100,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activity and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform month-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying variances and trends.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for leadership.
• Assist with sales tax filings, fixed assets, personal property tax returns, and compliance reporting.
• Support billing, accounts payable, audits, commission calculations, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and ensure financial accuracy.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide support to accounting leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and financial reporting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting controls.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
