Staff Accountant Opportunity

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to hire a Staff Accountant for its Cicero, IL facility. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while supporting month-end and year-end close activities
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Maintain inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold and production variance analysis
• Support fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to analyze the financial impact of production activities
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency
• Assist with special projects and provide guidance to junior accounting or clerical staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Two or more years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar platforms
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, IF statements, SUM and AVERAGE functions
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory management is highly preferred
• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
