Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing

Role Description The Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based at our new Home2 Suites by Hilton in Ramsey, MN, responsible for leading all sales and marketing efforts to maximize hotel revenue and market share. This role oversees the development and execution of sales strategies, including corporate, group, and leisure business, while building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, travel partners, and local organizations. Daily activities include setting sales targets, managing the sales pipeline, conducting prospecting and site visits, preparing proposals and contracts, and monitoring performance against budget and brand standards. The Director collaborates closely with operations, revenue management, and food & beverage teams to align pricing, promotions, and guest experience with overall business goals. This position also leads and coaches the sales and marketing team, manages digital and traditional marketing campaigns, and ensures consistent brand messaging across all channels. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing, including experience developing and executing hotel sales strategies and promotional campaigns. Strong sales and revenue management skills, with the ability to forecast, analyze performance, and optimize profitability. Develop and execute hotel sales strategies to increase Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall revenue. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, extended-stay business, group bookings, local negotiated accounts, and other demand generators. Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, key market contacts, and community organizations. Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, client meetings, and follow-up communications. Respond to sales inquiries, RFP's, and group requests in a timely and professional manner. Previous leadership experience in hotel or hospitality sales and marketing; multi-brand or franchise hotel experience is highly beneficial. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with corporate clients, groups, and community partners. Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with competency in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office or similar software. Ability to work on-site in Ramsey, MN, with flexibility for occasional travel, events, and client meetings. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
