HVAC Duct Fabricator

Mural Industrial Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Duct Fabricator on behalf of a well-established heating and air conditioning provider in the York, Nebraska area.

This is a hands-on, shop-based role responsible for fabricating sheet metal ductwork used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The position plays a critical role in supporting installation teams by ensuring high-quality, accurately built duct systems are ready for field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, and layout specifications
Fabricate rectangular and round ductwork to specification
Build duct fittings including elbows, transitions, offsets, and reducers
Operate shop equipment including plasma table, shear, brake, and related machinery
Assemble duct using industry-standard methods including TDC/TDF and slip & drive connections
Install turning vanes and complete finishing work on fabricated pieces
Use hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
Move materials and finished products using a forklift as needed
Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3–5+ years of HVAC duct fabrication or sheet metal experience
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication layouts
Hands-on experience with plasma cutting and standard sheet metal shop equipment
Knowledge of duct fabrication methods including:
TDC/TDF connections
Slip & drive systems
Turning vane installation
Strong measurement and basic math skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented shop environment
Reliable, consistent attendance and ability to meet production expectations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience fabricating duct for both residential and commercial HVAC systems
Forklift experience or certification
Familiarity with shop workflow and production scheduling
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
