POSITION OVERVIEW – Financial Analyst II
The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze actual operating results, interpret financial data, and present results to management
• Gather and analyze financial information to support reporting and business operations
• Respond to budget-related requests for financial data
• Reconcile promotional claims and POS activity to ensure accurate reporting and payment
• Research payment reconciliation issues arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes
• Generate required financial reporting to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances
• Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payment
• Conduct financial data analytics and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
• Deliver financial reporting and analytics to a variety of key business stakeholders
• Utilize appropriate financial data to support the development of actionable spending plans
• Analyze variances and identify discrepancies within financial and operational data
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting through effective reconciliation processes
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and business stakeholders to support financial operations
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of directly related experience is required
• Prior experience in retail operations preferred
• Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP R/3 software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Must be able to communicate financial information through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
