Textile Designer

Role is in office 5 days a week. This is a Product Designer role, not surface or graphic design. We are looking for a Soft Home Goods Designer to work with our licensed and private label brands. We need you to have experience taking concept boards to final production samples for bedding, bath, decorative pillows and a few other categories. You will be the creative force behind the products we sell. Responsibilities Design innovative and fresh products and create tech packs, color standards, and concept boards using Illustrator and Photoshop. Research home fashion trends into saleable product collections tailored to specific retail partners (ex. TJX, Walmart, Ross, Burlington, etc.). Work across the organization with PD, Merchandising and Sales to identify market needs and ensure the brand(s) are aligned. Work closely with overseas factories to approve and ensure product is right and production standards are met. During Market Weeks, present products, trends and concepts to key customers. Requirements 5-7 years of experience designing soft home goods products (specifically bedding, bath, kitchen) for major retailers. Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Textiles, or a related field. Excellent skills with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Strong multi-tasking abilities, can execute technical sketches and create original artwork. Terrific organizational skills, incredibly positive and always meets deadlines. Solid organizational and time management skills to meet or exceed deadlines. Ability to sell your creative vision. Create prints, wovens, embroideries and quilts, a major plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
