Academic Program Coordinator

Job Description: The Academic Program Coordinator (APC) handles the day‑to‑day operations that support research, teaching, and learning at the Cogut Institute for the Humanities. Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for prospective applicants. Prepare review materials for the institute’s governing board and selection committees. Administer research expense reimbursements for faculty and students. Work with faculty to prepare course proposals and ensure classrooms and offices are ready for use. Respond to A/V queries and facilitate travel arrangements for guest speakers and instructors. Support course‑related events and weekly research seminars. Participate in outreach efforts and contribute to the design and distribution of communications materials. Maintain knowledge of University policies, technical systems, and institute guidelines. Act as a financial coordinator. Education and Experience Associate’s degree and 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience in higher education, preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent computer proficiency, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Workday, Banner, GSIM, scheduling software and Zoom, with a proven ability to learn new software tools as necessary. Strong financial skills. Experience with use and troubleshooting of A/V systems and office equipment, preferred. Ability to maintain good working relationships with all levels within the University and external communities. Initiative and ability to think, act, and solve problems independently and as a member of a highly collaborative team. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload and goals in a fast‑paced environment. Physical Demands and Working Conditions May be expected to work some evenings and weekends (days).
