Description Seeking a Compliance Professional Ready to Make an Impact GSF Properties Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Compliance Specialist to join our corporate team in Fresno, CA. This position plays a vital role in supporting compliance across our affordable housing portfolio, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations, as well as internal policies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and passionate about supporting programs that provide safe, affordable housing, while also delivering strong support to our property management teams. Compensation & Schedule: The pay range for this role is $23.00-$27.00 per hour , depending on experience. This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM . Key Responsibilities: Review applicant, move-in, and recertification files for compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Fair Housing, and other affordable housing regulations. Verify income, assets, eligibility, and rent calculations to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Conduct file audits, identify compliance issues, and coordinate corrective actions with site teams. Prepare and maintain compliance reports, documentation, and audit-ready records. Collaborate with Property Managers, Regional Managers, and other stakeholders to support portfolio compliance and operational goals. Provide compliance guidance and training to on-site staff as needed. Assist with agency audits, monitoring reviews, and site visits. Maintain confidentiality and stay current on regulatory changes and industry requirements. Report directly to the Compliance Director and provide updates on compliance status, audit findings, and corrective action progress. Strong knowledge of tax credit compliance, including file reviews, certifications and recertifications, income calculations, and eligibility determinations. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and analyze complex documentation. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in RealPage or Yardi is required. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Preferred Qualifications: TCS, HCCP, COS, or other affordable housing certification preferred.
