Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a PrincipalHuman Factors Engineer (T03 level) / Sr Principal Human Factors Engineer (T04 level). This position is located in Roy, Utah, and supports the Sentinel program.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You’ll Get To Do:Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to add a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to its Human Systems Integration (HSI) team to work compliance on the Sentinel program. The selected engineer may be responsible for multiple tasks within requirements, verification, and interfaces for the Sentinel program from a human engineering perspective. The Systems Engineer may be responsible for supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.Responsibilities may include: Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis for human engineering compliance documents to include Mil-Std-1472 and other applicable industry standardsCollaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifactsBe proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documentsEnsure appropriate coordination between SEIT Human Systems Integration and other design and integration teamsParticipate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systemsBasic QualificationsThis requisition may be filled at either the Principal Engineerlevel (T-03) or Sr Principal Engineer level (T-04).Required for Both Levels:Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsExperience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applicationsExperience with Compliance requirements and Mil-Std-14723 years of Systems Engineering experience2 years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool1 year of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentationPrincipal Systems Engineer (T-03 level):Bachelor’s Degree in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline (e.g., human factors or psychology) from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 1 year of relevant work experienceSr. Principal Systems Engineer (T-04 level):Bachelor’s Degree in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline (e.g., human factors or psychology) from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualification3 years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems2 years’ experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities1 year of experience with interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specificationsLarge scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to productionExperience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methodsStrong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systemsStrong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing prioritiesPosition BenefitsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:  Medical, Dental & Vision coverage  401k  Educational Assistance  Life Insurance  Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions   Paid Time Off   Health & Wellness Resources   Employee Discounts  This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.#SentinelsystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
