Embark on a rewarding contract position serving K-12 students as a district floater in special education. Your assignment runs from August 20, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week—structured as 8-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Two openings are available for experienced special education teachers who are ready to collaborate, adapt, and innovate within a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Active California CTC licensure with Moderate/Severe, Extensive Support Needs, or equivalent credential
• Prior experience supporting K-12 special education populations preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to travel between school sites within the district as needed
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a floater providing instructional and support services across various schools and grade levels
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse needs
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students to maximize learning outcomes
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies to ensure success
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education
