Job Description

Make an impact in the lives of students by providing essential support as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and learning challenges
Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Creative, adaptable approach to instructional planning and differentiation
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and staff
Patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering a supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs and unique learning needs
Adapt curriculum to ensure access and success for each student
Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student growth
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and ongoing professional learning
Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity
