Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and team members
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Organizational skills to maintain accurate records, assessments, and reporting
• Positive, encouraging attitude with a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student’s individualized education plan (IEP)
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed
• Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to advocate effectively for student needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions, progress, and communications
• Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops, and IEP meetings as required
• Employ positive behavioral strategies and classroom management to encourage a respectful, safe space for all learners
