Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Neuro Specialty) – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, Day shift, 12-16 weekend shifts per contract. Manager-created schedule with flexible weekend requirements discussed during interview process.

Highlights:

• Neurosurgical procedures and neuro diagnoses patient population in a 36-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-26 week contracts available with flexible scheduling options that may accommodate blocked scheduling requests
• EPIC charting system with 2 orientation shifts on unit following hospital-based orientation
• Collaborative team environment with unit secretary support and interpretation services available
• Local candidates welcome; former employees eligible after 12-month waiting period

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI preferred
• Neurology experience strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with telemetry, IV management, CVA patients, and isolation precautions
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Willingness to float within facility as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
